![]() ![]() Its codename is MT6757T and it is quite similar to the MT6757 (MTK P20) in terms of specification. This chip was announced recently in the first quarter of 2017. This is an Octa-Core System-on-Chip which uses the 64-bit CPU architecture. of this SOC.Ĥx Cortex-A53 at 2.6 GHz + 4x Cortex-A53 at 1.7 GHz ![]() Before moving onto the specification of this chip, here’s a quick look at the pros. Also, this graphics processor is better than the one found on Exynos 7870, Kirin 658, and the Kirin 659. ![]() The Mali-T880 MP2 GPU is powerful enough for gaming. It uses the power efficient 16nm FinFET technology and the Cortex-A53 cores are clocked at a really high frequency. Both these mobile chipsets are quite similar and the most significant difference between these two is in terms of clock speeds. It is a successor to the Helio P20 (MT6757) processor and its codename is MT6757T. The Helio P25 is one such processor that will not disappoint you and may restore your faith in the same. But that doesn’t mean that MediaTek processors aren’t good. And in most cases, a similarly priced Qualcomm chip actually does perform better. Many a time, people prefer to stay away from MediaTek chips and give preference to Snapdragon ones. If you’re planning on purchasing any of these phones, this review will help you out in making the correct decision. While the processor may seem an absolute performer right now on the basis of the benchmark, but we must wait to see how it performs in the real world. The MediaTek Helio P25 is a mobile processor that powers smartphones like the Lenovo K8 Plus, Gionee A1 Plus, and the Infinix Zero 5. It is a well-known fact that the benchmarks don’t necessarily say the entire story. ![]() With an overall score of around 157,000, the processor can compete with the flagship processors of the past couple of years, at least on paper. Helio P70’s CPU scored 73,969, which is generally overall score of the most mid-range SoCs currently available. As mentioned above, it should go official in February.Īpart from the overall score of the chipset, the individual scores of the CPU, GPU, etc. As per the available information, the upper mid-range processor from MediaTek will be made with 12nm process, will have an octa-core CPU, Mali G72 MP4 GPU, and a Category 13 LTE modem. While the Snapdragon 660 will be coming out in a few smartphones quite soon, and also the Exynos 7872, there is no information about the devices having the Helio P70 SoC. It is worth noting that the Snapdragon 821 and even the Snapdragon 835 on some flagships have scored lower than what the Helio P70 did in this benchmark test. The overall score of the other three processors is 141,82, 105,575, and, 88,133 respectively. In the test, the processor has been compared to Helio X30, Snapdragon 660, and Exynos 7872, which was recently announced. To give you an idea, the Snapdragon 660 processor scored 105,575 that is exactly 50,000 less than what the Helio P70 scored. The latter just paid a visit to AnTuTu and it scored a staggering 156,906, which is just way above the competition. MediaTek is already expected to launch the Helio P40 and Helio P70 chipsets sometime around MWC 2018 next month. ![]()
